This afternoon we got a quote for ducted gas heating to be installed.
It seems ACTewAGL suck big time as they told us it couldn't be done after checking out the space in our roof yet the THREE other quotes from independant businesses didn't even want to look in our roof cavity and told us it would be no problems!
Always get a second opinion!

That's something I've never thought to ask my American friends.

Roller Derby was on again tonight and this time Alex came with me.
Afterwards we went out and got dinner at the Vikings Club in Tuggeranong.
Neither of us had been there in years but it was good to see the huge salt water aquarium is still there and going strong!

I know it's a weed but capeweed flowers are wonderful for taking photos of!
And because I've been so sick this month and missed photos here's another photo I took today.
I was brave (I'm allergic to bees) and ventured right up close to our apple tree to watch the bees do their "thing" with all the blossom and was in awe when I found this little guy's legs laden with pollen!
One of my favourite photos this year for sure. :)

Alex had his very first go at welding today thanks to our friend, Colin.
I will admit I was a teeny bit nervous. lol

I was feeling a bit more human today but as Alex had to go back to work (he was able to work from home and look after the boys while I recovered) I still wasn't up to looking after both boys on my own so my wonderful mum visited to help out.
The weather was somewhat nice outside so we spent the afternoon in the backyard.
Kai LOVED it! :)

So there was no photo yesterday because I was "super duper sick".
I wasn't kidding.
I had a fever, I was so cold that nothing helped me get warm and then my fever broke and I was so hot and nothing helped that.
I had the sorest throat and I was just in the worst way possible and all that was before 7am!
Alex made me a doctors appointment and it turns out I have tonsillitis.
I used to get tonsillitis ALL THE TIME when I was a kid but it's definitely worse as an adult.
Hopefully a course of antibiotics will help.

Dora the Explorer was at Bunnings Tuggeranong today and we decided to brave it and take Callum to se her.
I think we made the right choice.
That's one happy kid, don't you think?! :)
