Today was fun!
For the past 2 Father's Days Callum has made a hand print painted canvas for Alex.
This year was Kai's first Father's Day and of course he was to make a canvas too.
I think it turned out really well!
Tip: if you do this with young kids (and particularly a baby!), do the painting in the bathroom next to a filled bath ready to go and have your baby naked so once the painting is done you can then put them straight in the bath and clean them up!
It's taken me two years to learn and yes I did it the hard way. ;)

This toy truck was given to Callum one Easter from my brother.
Kai has taken a strong liking to it. He plays with it constantly and it's so cute to see him push the truck back and forth. :)

I started thinking about the invitations for Kai's Naming and 1st birthday.
We've decided to have a luau themed party and I spent the day googling hibiscus graphics to use.
I won't be surprised if I dream of hibiscuses tonight!

Alex moved desks today which meant moving buildings.

Apparently he'll be moving again in a few months.

We had a speech therapy session for Callum today.
While he is enjoying the days we have therapy he is progressing very slowly which is frustrating for Alex and I.
Still, I do enjoy seeing Callum have a good time. :)

I've never really sat and looked at the ceiling of a shopping mall before.
Today while Callum played in the kid's playground at Woden Westfield, I found myself checking out the ceiling.

Today as I was doing the few dishes that need doing by hand, I let the sink fill while I grabbed something out of the pantry.
When I turned back towards the sink I saw the steam from the hot water in the sunlight.
Of course I grabbed the camera. :)

When Alex rides his bike to work I can always hear when he's nearly home that afternoon even if he's a few blocks away.
Today Callum and I raced outside (me armed with the camera) to the driveway to meet him as he got home.

Callum is a copy cat.
He loves to copy things you do and will insist on doing what you're doing.
For me he insists to 'tone & moisturise' his face when he catches me doing my own and Alex shaving is no different. lol
(obviously Alex isn't really shaving Callum's face. He's using the back of the razor. Completely safe!)
