I was brave (I'm allergic to bees) and ventured right up close to our apple tree to watch the bees do their "thing" with all the blossom and was in awe when I found this little guy's legs laden with pollen!
One of my favourite photos this year for sure. :)

Today as I was doing the few dishes that need doing by hand, I let the sink fill while I grabbed something out of the pantry.
When I turned back towards the sink I saw the steam from the hot water in the sunlight.
Of course I grabbed the camera. :)

When Alex rides his bike to work I can always hear when he's nearly home that afternoon even if he's a few blocks away.
Today Callum and I raced outside (me armed with the camera) to the driveway to meet him as he got home.

We had a great time today at my niece's party.
Sammy got some great presents and as you can see she's a big fan of the colour pink!
(Oh and yes, the cupcakes turned out great!)

I offered to make cupcakes for my niece's 5th birthday (which was earlier in the week but her dad and step mum are throwing a party for her tomorrow) and I decided to colour them pink.
I made two shades of pink batter and baked half and half cupcakes.
Hopefully they turn out well!
