Day 181

 30-06-10

Three years ago today my beautiful baby boy was born!
I cannot believe it's been 3 years already.
Love my boy.

Day 180

 29-06-10

Today Callum had fun checking out the new tour photos from The Wiggles on Facebook.
(yes, I am a fan. ;) )

Day 179

 28-06-10

:(

Day 178

 27-06-10

I am now officially 30 years old.
I don't feel it, I don't look it. (so I'm told all the time but as my mum always says I'll be thanking her when I'm 50. heh.)
Anyway.
Christmas last year my sister made Callum a Pirate Sock Monkey.
When she visited to meet Kai after he was born I chose two pairs of socks, one for her to make a monkey out of for Kai and one just cause I liked them.
The pair I chose just cause I liked she made a Ninja out of complete with nunchucks!
The pair of socks I chose for Kai she made a Sailor.
He even has tattoos!
Best fake tattoo EVER!
Thank you so much again, Jen! I just adore them! :)

Day 177

 26-06-10

Alex and I went out for dinner for my birthday which is tomorrow.
Both of us have a bad cold and it took a lot of effort to want to go out but I'm glad we did.
We had a nice time with just the two of us.
We went to Fig & Olive at Chisholm shops.
Their food is SO good.
I think I can confidently say it's my favourite restaurant now.
Had we had more of an appetitie we definitely would have had a few of their awesome dips (which we've had before) but we just couldn't do it.
Next time, Gadget. ;)

Day 176

 25-06-10

Alex took today off so we could do more work on the house but unfortunately it rained most of the day so there went our plans of working on the pergola.
We did however put together a cupboard we bought for the laundry.
Callum is actually very good at screwing in screws!

Day 175

 24-06-10

Yep, I've been suckered into Frontierville on Facebook.
I'm sure I'll get bored of it eventually!

Day 174

 23-06-10

Today was a special day for me as I finally met a friend I have known online for while now who also lives on the same street that we moved into last year!
It only took Shel and I 8 months to finally meet but I am so glad we finally did. :)
This photo wasn't the one I was orignally going to post but after looking through them on my laptop I just had to.
The shadow on the right is Callum's little hand reaching for another teddy bear biscuit (cookie) that Shel brought over to share for morning tea. lol
So cute!

Day 173

 22-06-10

While watching TV tonight I had a play with the new remote control we bought for the DSLR.
I seriously heart it.

Day 172

 21-06-10

We went and got paint today from Bunnings as I mentioned yesterday.
A trip to Bunnings means a play on the play equipment for Callum.
He was the only child on it today so I decided to have a climb too. lol
I saw Bunnings from a whole other angle!

Day 171

 20-06-10

It was another typical Canberra winter day today.
Blue sky forever, a little cool at first but then by the afternoon the sun was so beautiful and warm.
When Kai went down for his afternoon nap the rest of us spent some time outside.
Alex dug out the fish pond and installed a bigger one we were given from his boss (they're getting a new pond so gave us their old one), I planted the runners from our strawberry plants into their own pots. (which should have been done a couple of months ago now!) I just hope they survive!
Another big job we got done was paint the wood for the pergola.
We almost finished the tin of paint and the wood needs another coat so it's off to Bunnings again tomorrow (Alex has taken tomorrow off) for some more.

Day 170

 19-06-10

Taking a time out at the shopping centre today while Callum ate a banana.

Day 169

 18-06-10

While doing a load of washing today I noticed that my washing machine doesn't seem to mind its job at all. lol

Day 168

 17-06-10

Not a very exciting photo today unfortunately.
It rained all day and when it stopped I wanted to take some photos of leaves with rain drops on them but there just weren't that many to be found!
I will say that when I took this photo it was FREEZING.
I was honestly expecting it to start snowing.

Day 167

 16-06-10

Alex took Callum to have a MUCH needed haircut today.
In the before photo he looks kinda scared stiff but I think he would have just been shy with the hairdresser there. lol
The after photo, much better now don't you think? :)

Day 166

 15-06-10

Not sure what was wrong with me this evening but this is what my head felt like with even the slightest movement.
And I HAD to watch The Wiggles...

Day 165

 14-06-10

Callum had a 10 cent coin tonight and wanted Alex to spin it on the table.
I decided to play with the macro lens. :)

Day 164

 13-06-10

Our friend Colin hired a Dingo digger to do some landscaping of his frontyard today.
We stopped by on the way home (we live in the same suburb) to take a lookie.
Colin showed us how it worked (and did some donuts on it! w00t!) and then Alex jumped on to have a go.
Callum had a go too but was more content to just watch.
Alex and I are thinking one of these might go well in our backyard for some ideas we have. :)

Day 163

 12-06-10

Inside this paint mixer is a tin of paint getting the bejeebus shaken out of it.
We finally have the paint to start painting the wood for the pergola we're covering.
It's a lovely boring shade of dark grey. lol

Day 162

 11-06-10

This photo shows just how confused the plants are here.
With having a warm autumn this year the bulbs in our garden have decided it's time to bloom.
I'm not complaining! I love seeing the beautiful flowers pop up among our cold and leaf bare backyard. :)
