Our next door neighbour started cutting down some of their trees a few months ago as apparently they were told that those particular trees are prone to drop their branches.
Today they finally cut down their trunks.
Callum and I had fun just watching.

We had to go to Bunnings today to get a few things and while we were there we saw that there was face painting.
Callum has never had his face painted until now.
I was surprised at how still he stayed!
He was the cutest tiger ever! (of course. lol)

As part of Callum's speech therapy we play games by getting Callum to say different sounds etc and then he gets a turn of whatever game we are playing.
Tonight we found and bought a marble race which we thought would be a good game to play while doing speech therapy at home.
Apart from the fact it takes ages to set up it's pretty cool watching the marble go down each time and Callum has a ball playing with it AND we manage to do some therapy at the same time.
Win win. :)

Today I learned not to leave a pen near a very important document if Callum is around.
I really don't think the Department of Immigration would think this is an acceptable answer to grant my sister-in-law permanent recidency. lol

Mental note: Don't let Alex put rinse aid in the dishwasher when a sample bottle of Pine-o-cleen is sitting next to it as they look exactly the same.
We ended up having to flush the rinse aid dispenser out with water and then syringing the contaminated water out with a straw stuck on the end of the syringe over and over for a few hours.
I guess we have the cleanest rinse aid dispenser in a dishwasher ever known!

Today was fun!
For the past 2 Father's Days Callum has made a hand print painted canvas for Alex.
This year was Kai's first Father's Day and of course he was to make a canvas too.
I think it turned out really well!
Tip: if you do this with young kids (and particularly a baby!), do the painting in the bathroom next to a filled bath ready to go and have your baby naked so once the painting is done you can then put them straight in the bath and clean them up!
It's taken me two years to learn and yes I did it the hard way. ;)

This toy truck was given to Callum one Easter from my brother.
Kai has taken a strong liking to it. He plays with it constantly and it's so cute to see him push the truck back and forth. :)

I started thinking about the invitations for Kai's Naming and 1st birthday.
We've decided to have a luau themed party and I spent the day googling hibiscus graphics to use.
I won't be surprised if I dream of hibiscuses tonight!
